The Splendid Sampler: Blocks 26 and 27....

It is time to share with you my next two blocks for The Splendid Sampler. The first block (block 26) is called 'Dreaming of Dresdens' and was designed by Jane Davidson.  I love this block... I really like the Dresden Plate design and I had a lot of fun putting this one together. I pieced the whole block by hand using English paper piecing.

The next block (block 27) is called 'Sewing Machine' and was designed by Pat Sloan. It is a really cute applique block featuring a sewing machine and I enjoyed making it.  It was a lot of fun choosing the fabrics to use.

Two more blocks to add to all the others.....

  3. This Dresden plate is so sweet! The fussy-cut detail in the sewing-machine is really fun, it makes me think of the actual dial of some machines, or the decoration of really old ones. Regards, Ariadna.
