My first finishes this year are two more free motion quilted mini quilts. They form part of a challenge set by Lori Kennedy at the end of one of her Craftsy classes and they were great fun to make!
This first one is a horizontal/vertical composition and includes among the motifs sail boats, waves, pebbles and seashells.
The second one is a radiating composition and features spiral flowers.
February
My next finish for the year and my first for February is a project that I started at a wonderful workshop held in Norwich by the talented Abigail Mill. This is a freehand machine embroidered project and depicts the Chalet where we lived in Switzerland.
A few closer details.....
I also finished another TAST sampler to compliment the one I had previously stitched and they are now hanging in my sewing room together.
March
My first finish in March is a miniature quilt (approx 5 x 5 inches square) and is called 'Poppy Field'
My next finish in March is a freehand machine embroidered picture made from a kit which I bought while at Abigail Mill's workshop in Norwich earlier in the year.
Now framed....
April
This month I finished my little wool quilt project. I used pebbling in the background to make the circle stand proud and I am very pleased with the results.
As well as several ongoing projects I am working on, I finished a little embroidered hoop as a gift.
I completed the TAST Challenge of 100 different embroidery stitches and made the final sampler into a third picture for my sewing room wall.
Absolutely gorgeous stitching and projects!!You are so talented!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful I never thought of using all the stitches and put them on the wall like that
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. They were a lot of fun to stitch.
