Today I would like to show you two more blocks that I have completed for the Hasenbach Challenge. These two stars are the blocks that have been released by Claudia for the month of June.
The first is the 'Wishing Star'. It uses the same foundation paper piecing technique that all these blocks use and, although I am getting more familiar with the technique, I still find it difficult to get all the pieces to line up well.
The second is the 'Mexican Star'. Again, foundation paper pieced and, I found this star a little easier to put together than the one above. I am quite pleased with how they both look and all the stars together are starting to look very pleasing.
Have a lovely weekend!
Your blocks are just lovely and I commend you for taking on this challenge.

DeleteWunderschöne Sternblöcke, tolle Farben und dann auch noch so akkurat genäht. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Christiane! I like the finished blocks but I do struggle with the technique! Christine x
DeleteWunderschöne Sterne, aber der auf dem oberen Bild ist ganz besonders schön!
ReplyDeleteGruß Marion
Thank you Marion! I like how all the blocks look together! Christine x
DeleteI looked at the first block and tried to figure out how it was put together before I read the 'foundation pieced' part. It looks really intricate!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary Anne! I do like the finished blocks but they have been the cause of a few expletives in the sewing room! LOL! Christine x
DeleteExpletives? No, no - you're just blessing them.
DeleteThat's right.... something like that!
DeleteI might follow your lead and just use Claudia's stars. The buildings are pretty too but somehow I don't feel a connection to them. Your star-collection is beautiful. I need to visit again to see what you will create. Thanks for sharing. Danke!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christa! I am not competent enough to even try the buildings and the stars look pretty... I think I will stick with them! Have a good weekend! Christine x
DeleteLove the stars especially the wishing star - so pretty. Really must try paper piecing some day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Baa! I like how the stars all look now but I find paper piecing a difficult technique... you sort of work back to front and I am not very good at that! Christine x
DeleteReally beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lyn! Happy Sunday! Christine x
DeletePretty stars. and the middle on the first one is perfect. I like the way all of them look together! Your skills improve with each pp piece you make. KATRIN W.
ReplyDeleteThank you Katrin! I am slowly feeling more comfortable with the technique and the stars are giving me good practice! Christine x
DeleteYour blocks look great, Christine. My favourite is the Wishing Star. xx
