Block Five: Simple Simon |
It is a very simple and pretty block to construct and, as usual, I found some scraps of Tilda fabrics to make it.
Block Six: Focal Point |
Block six was a little more complicated but a lot of fun to make. It was designed by Natalia Bonner and is called 'Focal Point'. Again I used more scraps.
I am having a lot of fun with this project and I like the diversity of the blocks so far.... can't wait for number seven tomorrow! Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Christine, wow your blocks are awesome, well done my friend xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Shez! I am pleased with how they are looking so far.... looking forward to the next block! Christine x

DeleteLovely - well done xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynda! I have been enjoying seeing your blocks too! Christine x
DeleteGood job keeping up. Some have recommended using starch for the last block. With so many pieces are you using starch? Still getting my ducks in a row.... pulled a few more fabric choices yesterday for this sampler. I love all the blocks so far. Thinking some Tayna Whelan Petal perhaps with a few more misc picks. It will be a soft red white and blue ....Decisions decisions. Janita
ReplyDeleteThank you Janita! No, I didn't use any starch but I may try it and see if it helps. Your fabric choices sound lovely! Christine x
DeleteOooh I love Tilda fabrics slowly collecting them for a future project. Love the focal point block so neatly done and with crisp points too I am too much of a 'fudger' to attempt this one lol X
ReplyDeleteThank you Ali! There has been quite a lot of fudging.... I just pretend there hasn't!! Christine x

Deleteblocks looking good I am really liking the simple simon bock and will try and work out how to make it a 12" block, will try and do 6 today as I do not want to get to behind,
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret. Changing the block to 12" should be quite straightforward.... just double all the measurements and that should be right! I'm looking forward to block seven being released! Christine x
