Needleturn applique is not a technique I am very familiar with, so it took me a while to get them finished off (don't look too closely!!)
The bonus project for the month of January was the sweetest little 'dilly' bag. I just managed to get that finished this afternoon, which is just a couple of days before the next month's patterns are due to be released.
I can't wait to see what the pattern for next month brings but, in the meantime, I am really thrilled that I have managed to get this month's blocks and project finished on time!
Thank you for visiting 💟
Ein schönes Projekt. Die ersten Ergebnisse sind super. Auch die Farben gefallen mir sehr. Da bin ich gespannt auf Deine nächsten Arbeiten.

Your needle-turning looks wonderful--very professional! I also love these sweet designs and the dilly bag is so cute! It was very clever to combine the threads--adds a lot of interest. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteawww - such cute little stitcheries! As for the needle-turned applique - do you have any freezer paper? If so, cut it to size, iron onto the back and then you can use some starch (I use the spray-on type and just spray some into a small container and use a Q-tip to apply it). Moisten the seam allowance and then fold it over & press. Remove the freezer paper and then you can easily stitch it down.
ReplyDeletethey are adorable! I think your applique looks fantastic
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely adorable!

ReplyDeletePretty work Christine and the little bag is gorgeous with the mixed threads.
ReplyDeleteHello Christine - I had not checked your blog since last summer and am delighted to find you are stitching away! Needleturn applique is too difficult for my "old" hands, but I love the way it looks. Your projects are lovely, as always. Love the mix of threads.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look lovely, Christine. xx
