I can hardly believe that we have come to the end of March this week! The weather here has really started to warm up although it does appear that we may have snow on Monday!!!
My first finish this week was a small embroidery project. This was a pre-printed template designed and drawn by Anne Brooke of H-anne-Made which I stitched. It was a lovely little project and I really enjoyed stitching it.
When the embroidery was finished I thought it would be nice to bind the wooden hoop with yarn as a finishing touch.
I always like how the bound wooden hoops look. The yarn just gives it that extra element of texture.
When that was finished it was back to bunnies! This time in the form of Easter cards. They were a lot of fun to make and, I am hoping that they will be nice to receive too!!
That just gave me time to decorate a little for the Easter Weekend. I found a wall hanging that I stitched some years ago to hang.....
My newly created bunnies (which I showed you last time) were put on the kitchen window sill with some little lamb candles.
Hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend and until next time....
I loooove your stitchery! I saw a few stitchery kits on one of the UK wool suppliers websites but they are way too expensive to buy and send here. I am still tempted. I like how you have used yarn around the hoop. I have seen fabric wound around hoops but I think yarn looks quite good. Well done. Oh my, your bunnies are soooo cute! Love your Easter cards and I am sure the lucky recipients will treasure them. Lovely Easter hanging and display of daffies. We have had a few warm Autumn days but very little summer. My plants don't know what they are doing, nor do I lol. Have a lovely Easter . Xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pretty stitchery Christine, I love the mixture of colours and the added binded hoop gives a perfect finish, Your cards are delightful and make wonderful gifts. Love the bunny decorations make me realise that I must make something similar for next Easter.
ReplyDeleteLet me start by saying how extraordinarily beautiful your stitchery is! It almost makes me want to start embroidering again. Now, those cards.....oh, my goodness gracious, they are adorable with a capital A!
