Finished Quilt -Ta Dah!

I had a lovely creative weekend finishing off the baby quilt I started at the end of last week.  It is just so rewarding to finish a project.

 

I am really pleased with the finished quilt and I am glad that I stuck to the neutral colours, I think they have worked really well.

I am not really very skilled at machine quilting but, I always give it a try. I was pleased with the outcome this time and, it is all good practice!  This is the back of the quilt, which shows the quilting design in more detail.  I did all the quilting using a walking foot and straight line designs. (I haven't advanced to free motion quilting on a finished project yet, that still needs a bit more work!)  Baby quilts are a really good size to work with under the machine.

It is always nice to be able to present someone with a handmade gift.  I hope that it brings the recipients (both mum and baby) some pleasure.
