Purchases and Plans!

Did I mention that I have very little will power when it comes to fabrics?  Well, I am afraid that is most definitely the case and, although I am earnestly trying to pack things away here so that renovations can start, I might just have visited a local quilt shop and bought some new fabric and sewing supplies! Ooops!

I do have a very good excuse.  I really, really need the fabric as I want to make a baby quilt as a gift and my fabric stash is currently inaccessible.  As I don't know the gender of the bump in question, I have tried to select colours and fabrics that would work for either.  Here they are!  What do you think?

I have also been drawing up plans for the prospective quilt design and I think I am going to go with an hourglass block interspersed with stripes of other fabric.  It needs to go together quickly as I haven't got much time to make it.  I think what I have in mind will work.
