I printed off the pattern from Anne's website and then set about making my March block based around that design.
I followed the pattern exactly to make the applique to decorate the heart.
This month, the pattern has a snowman and a cute little lamb in it, which is just perfect for Spring.
I wanted to reflect this in the block I made so, as well as adding some borders to the heart background, I also added a sprinkle of Spring flowers in the border.
I also embroidered a few flowers on the background of the appliqued section of the block as well as the name of the month which, I had also done on the previous blocks.
I am really pleased with my March block and, I couldn't resist adding it to the two previous blocks. Here are the first three blocks which, will make up the first row of my quilt.
Your quilt is going to be amazing, Christine, if the first three blocks are anything to go by!
