Some pretty handmade gifts....

One of the things I enjoy above all about writing this blog is all the other wonderful bloggers that I have met along the way. Earlier this year one of my blogger friends, Leanne of 'Lizzie the Quilter', asked me if I would like to participate in a little swap with her.

We share a love of Tilda fabrics and agreed to make each other something using them. It was such fun choosing the right project to make to send to Leanne. It is always exciting to be working on a 'secret' project!! I posted off my parcel on the agreed date and kept my fingers crossed that Leanne would like what I had made. Then, last week, a package arrived for me all the way from Tasmania filled with some beautiful handmade gifts that Leanne had made and sent for me.

There was a beautiful pincushion which I immediately put beside my sewing machine.  It looks right at home there and I love the dresden plate design!!

Leanne had also made some pretty little lavender sachets shaped like gift tags and decorated with the most exquisite buttons. They smell beautiful!!

Then, last but most definitely not least, a wonderful little quilt with a cute teacup design in the centre.  I have it on my kitchen counter top at the moment where I can admire it!  Thank you Leanne I am delighted with my gifts!!  Leanne also included some sachets of Australian tea and some chocolate but I am afraid I don't have any photographs to show you as I have already consumed them.... delicious!!

  1. You have received some delightful little treasures Christine. I have not heard of the Tilda fabrics except for what you have shown on your blog recently. One quick look to their web site and it is instant love! Perhaps it is because now that it is March we are desperate for Spring flowers to make their appearance. I love the quilt patterns they recently showed on the Tilda blog. I have a few soft flowery stash that would be perfect for them. I don't know of anyone who carries their fabric here in the U.S.A. but I will now be on the look out.

Hope you have a beautiful day. The sun is shining here :) Always a good beginning to the day. Janita

    1. Hello Janita! I don't think the Tilda fabrics are very readily available in the USA but I think they are starting to creep in here and there... you will have to watch out for them. I just love them!! :) Have a lovely day too.... the sun is also shining here but the wind is VERY cold! :) xx

das ist schon schön, wenn man solche kleinen Tauschaktionen tätigt, vor allem aber wenn dabei so wunderschöne Kleinigkeiten entstehen! Viel Spaß damit!!
