Luckily it was a lovely bright day so, we took it in turns to hide some 'goodies' in the garden for the others to find. We even hid some treats for the dogs to sniff out.... they thought it was great fun!!
It was lovely to be outside enjoying some fresh air and making the most of the pretty Spring flowers that are out in bloom at the moment.
Later we enjoyed a delicious lunch out and had a walk by the river. Later still, we made some Easter cupcakes for tea and ate them while watching the film 'Persuasion' from the book by Jane Austen. (We had to make the most of it being just 'us girls' at home!)
It was such a lovely day that there wasn't much time for any stitching but, I did have a moment or two to have a quick look through two lovely new books that I have.
'Quilting.... just a little bit crazy' by Allie Aller and Valerie Bothell which, I bought to further my knowledge of crazy quilting and,
'Simply Christmas No. 3' by Gail Pan which I just had to add to my collection as Gail is one of my very favourite designers!
Sounds like the perfect day!
