Stitchery Link Up - Le Jardin Quilt

Today it is time for another stitchery link up over at Super Mom - No Cape! This week, I would like to share with you a project which I stitched over nearly a year.  It is a beautiful quilt for which the embroidery patterns were designed and generously shared by Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly Designs.

Here are some photographs of my finished quilt which I first posted about here

The patterns are still available for download on the Red Brolly blog if you are interested in making a quilt yourself.

Closer photographs of each of my individual blocks, which were originally published by Bronwyn on a month by month basis, can be found here.

Why not pop across to visit Super Mom - No Cape! and see who else has linked up an embroidery project!

  6. Oooooh - an all-Tilda quilt!! That quilt represents so much "work" but since you enjoyed it so much it wasn't really work, was it? :) As many stitches as I've seen on your blog, this quilt may be the most beautiful design. I think my favorite block might be the poppy one. No wonder you were pleased with it! Did you leave it button-less? Do you have it displayed in your house?

    1. Thank you Linda! It was lovely to make and because the blocks were published monthly somehow it didn't ever seem to be a lot of work. I didn't add any buttons to it except in the hearts in the corners of the border. I quilted it quite simply with my walking foot and I sent it to a very special friend who I know will treasure it always. It hangs in her house. It is a favourite make! :) x
