TAST Week Thirty-five: Threaded Cable Chain Stitch

This week's new stitch for the TAST Challenge hosted by Sharon Boggon at Pin Tangle was stitch thirty-five, Threaded Cable Chain Stitch.  This stitch is another in the chain stitch family. We have already covered the cable chain stitch earlier in TAST.  This version of it is threaded with a second line of thread.  Sharon has posted a tutorial about it on her blog.

I added a short line of threaded cable chain stitch in one of the small boxes on my sampler. The cable chain was stitched using perle cotton.  I then threaded it with with a variegated silk thread.

I chose to follow one of Sharon's suggestions and added some beads to my line of cable chain. The perimeter of the box was stitched in the same variegated silk thread and a stem stitch.

Wishing you  all a lovely weekend!
