First 'show and tell' at the Sew-a-long...

Hello! Today is a very exciting day! It is the first 'show and tell' link up for the Patchwork Loves Embroidery Sew-a-long.  Martina of Sunshine Quilting is hosting this wonderful Sew-a-long and over on her blog page today you will find links being added from all the ladies participating in the fun!!  You will be able to see all the finished projects for this week and the proposed projects for the coming week.  There are some wonderful photographs of finished projects which Martina has received by email from participants who don't blog and, Martina herself has made three stunning embroidered drawstring bags.  You really should go and have a look there is some beautiful patchwork and embroidery to see!!

My choice of fabrics for the project.

You will recall that I decided to stitch this cute little 'bloom' pincushion for my first project and these were the fabrics, threads and trim that I had picked out to make it.

My finished pincushion.

Now those fabrics, threads and trim have been transformed and, my new pincushion looks right at home with the other pincushions I have in my sewing room!!

Pincushions!

I have chosen the needle book that is pictured on the front of Gail Pan's wonderful book as my next project.

These are the fabrics that I am considering for use when I make up the needle book (but the choice may change!)

Possible fabrics for making the needle book.

My background fabric has already had the embroidery designed traced onto it, the threads have been picked out ready and, I can't wait to get started on the second Sew-a-long project!!

Threads, hoop and background fabric ready to get started!

Have a wonderful week and enjoy looking at the projects so far
