I didn't get any sewing done but, I did get out some fabrics and sort through what I needed to make my next project for the Gail Pan Patterns SAL hosted by Martina at Sunshine Quilting.
I have been meaning to sew this project since it was first published in Homespun Magazine back in the Spring of 2013!! That is how long it has been on my 'to do' list!! It was very exciting to finally be choosing fabrics for it.
Then there was lots of cutting....
And some making bias binding to applique for the stems and vines...
Some pinning and fusing....
Now there is a lot of stitching to do! Hurray!
Lokks already very pretty! Happy stitchings!
ReplyDeleteHello Martina! I am really pleased with progress so far... hope to get all the stitching done in time for the next link up! :) x
DeleteSuch a pretty project! I love that part of the whole process - sorting the fabric and selecting it, and then cutting and prep work.
ReplyDeleteHello Dasha! Me too! I had a really fun day sorting and cutting! Looking forward to the sewing now! Enjoy the rest of the week! :) x
DeleteLove the fabric choices and Oooh what's that wee gadget? The one that looks like it's making amazing neat bias??? Ali x
ReplyDeleteHello Ali! Thank you!! That is a Clover Tape Maker.... you can get them to make all different widths of bias binding.... They are really useful! :) xx

ReplyDeleteHello Christine! I agree.... I love to have a number of projects cut and ready to go and then I can just stitch here and there when I get a pocket of time! :) xx
DeleteI love your technique, I find that if everything is prepared, then the stitching doesnt take so long. Love the colors, it should come up a treat. Enjoy your weekend, I'm sure you'll get plenty done.
