Spring is in the air!

Although there has been a very cold wind blowing, we have had a lot of lovely sunny spells over the past week (there have also been some heavy showers but I am trying to ignore them!) and, it really feels like Spring is in the air!!

So, when I saw that Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly Designs was giving away a cute little embroidery pattern to celebrate the Spring, I just couldn't resist it! (Even though I have quite a number of other projects waiting for my attention!)

I downloaded the pattern and printed it out, transferred the design to my background fabric, chose some embroidery threads and started stitching.

It was a fun little pattern and didn't take too long to complete.  Once  I had finished, I made it the centre square of an 8" block.

To the block I added some borders and then I stretched it over an 8" canvas board and stapled it into place on the back.  Now my Spring embroidery is ready to hang!

  10. The stitchery is really cute, and I like the way you used it as a center of your block. Waiting for spring here also, it is still cold and grey.
