CQJP Challenge 2015: Finished March Block

Hello! Today I would like to share with you my finished March block for the CQJP Challenge 2015. The challenge is run by the wonderful Kathy Shaw and I am having a great deal of fun designing, piecing and then embellishing the blocks.

I completed several base blocks for the CQJP Challenge while I was participating in Kathy's wonderful Intermediate Crazy Quilt Class.

Looking back to an earlier post where I showed you my base March block, I realised that the block that I have finished embellishing is not the block I showed you!  Never mind, that one will be embellished at some time during the challenge, so you will see it finished!

I really enjoyed trying some new stitches on this block which I found on a wonderful facebook page run by Valerie Bothell.

Hope you like the block and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

  1. I do like it. I also like the idea of Kathy Shaw's classes, I just have to clear a bit more space in both my head and my timetable!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous Christine. I love the look of crazy quilting, but have only attempted it once. As Marly says - I too need more space in my head and my timetable.

  12. So pretty--I love the ribbon embroidery! I never finished Kathy's beginners class as my mother took ill, but I am still hoping to get back to it so I can do the intermediate class. Your beautiful block has inspired me!
