I did get a lot of sewing done as well. I managed to catch up quite a number of my Farm Girl Vintage blocks but, I will show you those later in the week.
I also managed to finish off this little embroidery which I gave you a peek of. It was a hand project that I took with me on my recent trip to Carlisle but, it is my Gail Pan project for the next sew-a-long link up, so you will have to wait until Wednesday to see it!
So, I have told you all about the projects which I can't show you this time but, what have I got to show you? Well, I also managed to make two really cute little snap top purses. I used some of my favourite Tilda fabrics and a great video tutorial by Gourmet Quilter which I found on Pinterest. They were great fun to make and took very little time.
I also decided to make a little Tilda character from the book 'Tilda's Spring Ideas'. It is a cute little bug..... I thought it could be a 'June Bug'.
I think she's rather cute!
Love the Tllda June bug! And your snap purses are so cute. Tilda makes the most darling fabric. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your projects! Glad you enjoyed some time in your garden. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! Hope you had a good weekend too! I just love the Tilda fabric ranges and her books are great too! :) x
DeleteI did some gardening too, but also managed to get some cards done. I really like your little snap purses and the bug. I'm glad you managed to do some sewing xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet.... I really enjoyed making the purses and the bug.... sometimes you need to make a project that is cute and quickly finished as well as the longer projects! Glad you had a nice weekend! :) x

ReplyDeleteHello Sue! Thank you! The snap purses are really fun and so quick to make.... I shall be making some more.... my husband doesn't know I've cut one of his metal tape measures up yet.... will have to replace that before he notices! Have a lovely week! :) x

ReplyDeleteThank you Renee! As well as the block by block projects, there are days when I just need to start and finish a project and these were fun and quick. Really fun to make! Have a lovely week! :) x
DeleteAhhh yes the June Bugs.... I sort of forget about those until they arrive each year and drive me crazy. I' take your June Bug any day over the real ones. She is very cute in her little pot.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to make one of those little snap purses. Yours are very cute with their polk-a-dots accents.
Weeds are not the best part of summer. I spent part of the day in my daughter's yard weeding. I feel the same as you... it is good to have that job done. Nice to sit back and enjoy when it looks pretty : ) .
Janita
Hello Janita! It was a great feeling to have the garden looking tidier but, I have to say I did enjoy making the purses and the bug much more than doing the weeding! Hope you don't get too many June bugs this year! Have a sunshiny week! :) x
DeleteAlle Deine Projekte sind sehr schön. Besonders auf Dein fertiges Gail Pan Projekt bin ich neugierig.
