It has been quite a busy week here and I haven't had a huge amount of time to spend in my sewing room but, that hasn't stopped me thinking about what my next project should be!
When we moved, we brought with us some furniture which had been in storage. One such item was this rocking chair, which I have had for many years. I have moved M-A-N-Y times during my adult life and, at various times things seem to have been lost. Where the original cushions that went with this chair disappeared to, I do not know! When it was unpacked here, I found these two red cushions to put on it but, I want to cheer my chair up.
Pleased with how my 'Ruby Cottage Cushion' and 'Heart Cushion' both look, I thought I would make some new covers for my rocking chairs' cushions. Now all I have to do is decide what sort of design I want to use which, will probably mean a weekend of browsing through my many books for ideas.
Then of course I'll have to choose and cut some fabrics!!
I can't think of a nicer way to relax this weekend!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend too!
I like that chair! I am sure you will find something nice for it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet! Hopefully I will be able to make some nice new cushions for it! :) x
