Completed Crochet Cushion!

I seem to have been swept up with crocheting at the moment.  Normally, I just crochet little bits and pieces like the miniature creatures  and owls I have shared here before although, last year I did slowly crochet a small Navajo blanket but, I have never crocheted a cushion until now....

My first finished crocheted cushion!!  I am really delighted with how it has turned out.  I chose the yarn colours because I liked them but, when it got round to making up the back, I found this beautiful piece of fabric which coordinated perfectly with the front.

I made the back using a simple envelope-style finish, so that you can slip the cushion filler out and wash the cover.

I got the inspiration from a pattern in the 'Your Crochet Home' magazine which I bought recently

I have already started on another one which will be made up of crocheted squares so, will be quite a different style. They are such fun to work on in the evening between embroidery/quilting/sewing projects.

  1. What a gorgeous crochet cushion Christine. The colours are beautiful and the backing fabric the perfect choice. The squares will make a lovely one too-I am tempted to get this magazine! So glad you are enjoying crochet -I am enjoying several crochet projects on the go as well!
