This was another new stitch for me although, it didn't feel too unfamiliar as it is a cross between a chevron stitch and a cretan stitch both of which I do know how to stitch.
It is a lovely stitch to work. I used it as a filling stitch on my sampler and added quite a large section and I am pleased with how it looks.
As well as the excitement of learning another new stitch, I have also had some rather exciting post this week too.
Then, just this morning, I received the latest copy of Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine which I had ordered last week. It looks beautiful and I can't wait to find a few minutes to sit and read through it.... maybe this afternoon!
I love the curve you created with your half chevron stitches! Congratulations on winning a pattern. How fun! You've reminded me that I need to spend more time with my copy of the CQ Quarterly. I think I have to try making one of the Christmas trees from the pattern by Kathy Shaw. I just love it! :) I do hope you are having a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Renee! I loved using the half chevron.... I am learning so much with the TAST stitches! I'm looking forward to a cosy evening with my copy of the CQQ! Christine x
