Happy November!

I hope you all had a lovely Hallowe'en weekend.  Here we had a lot of 'trick or treat' callers... I nearly ran out of treats!!

Overall it was a damp and foggy weekend in this area which meant it was just perfect for getting some stitching done, so I started on a new 'secret project' which I needed to get finished.

Here are a few sneaky shots of the fabrics I am using and the embroidery I have added.

I was delighted that the beautiful variegated Stef Francis silk thread combined so well with the fabrics I had chosen.

The project is nearly finished.  I just have to stitch the binding to the back and the label in place.

It has been another damp, misty day here again today but I had an exciting delivery to cheer it up!

The latest beautiful book from Helen Philipps that I had on order arrived and it is lovely! Helen's pretty blog always brings some sunshine to the rainiest of days and I can't wait to read through this fabulous new book. I am not affiliated in any way, just a great admirer!

I am linking this post to the stitchery link up at Super Mom - No Cape! as well as to Design Board Monday over at Bits 'n Bobs (even though you can only see a few stitches!)  Why not pop across and see who else has linked up and what they are working on!

  5. Yes it is Nov.... ready or not. The stores have moved right into Christmas. Hang on to your hats the count down has begun! I have pulled out another LONG over due project to finish up this week. If I can finish up 3 of the same projects ( for my three daughters) in the next 3 weeks before Thanksgiving I will be over the moon happy. I think I will have a little personal party for myself : ) when I finish! They will be in shock that I have actually finished them so they can use them for Christmas decorating this year.

Looks like perhaps your little treasure has some Bonnie and Camille fabric in your secret project. Looking forward to the reveal.

Stay cozy. We are having one last autumn rendezvous of beautiful weather and then the weather is bound to turn cold.

  10. Lucky you Christine-a delivery of Helen's new book! It is at the top of my Christmas list. I had a treat box ready and no trick or treaters! Apparently local children are too scared to come down here!! We don't have the fog though, it is breezier I think. Beautiful projects as always Christine xx

  12. Happy November!

We had a very quiet Halloween and I was able to visit lots of blogs taking part in a Halloween blog hop.

That variegated thread matches your fabric beautifully. Love the label. Looking forward to seeing the great reveal!

  13. Those variegated threads are so pretty! I can't wait to see to finished piece.

We had a lot of trick or treaters here too which surprised us because it rained off and on. But they came prepared with umbrellas!

I love Helen Phillips blog too. It's like a beautiful, peaceful oasis on the net to visit. I may have to see if I can get that book or maybe put it on my Christmas wish list.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs.
